After your ferry trip, you can rent umbrellas or beach chair, and hang out on the beach for the day. Swim, snorkel and play the day away. Take a walk along the one third mile boardwalk or picnic under one of the many shelters. There are lots of things to do in the area. In fact, Ship Island was named as one of the top 50 best island beaches in America. The island has changed since Hurricane Katrina came through but it is still a very popular spot.
