Is Lucia Villalon  becoming Cristiano Ronaldo's New Girlfriend?

TV presenter Lucia Villalon is rumoured to be dating Cristiano Ronaldo after the pair were pictured celebrating the Portuguese star's Ballon d'Or win on their plane back from Zurich.

Ronaldo's five-year relationship with model Irina Shayk ended last week after she unfollowed him on Twitter and it has since been revealed by RTE that journalism graduate Villalon could be the footballer's new girlfriend.

Spanish news outlets including ABC have already thrown weight behind the rumours, while Real Madrid TV refused to comment on the news by saying "we speak about sport and not romances on this channel".

The 29 year old's relationship with Russian model Shayk reportedly finished after the couple's recent trip to Dubai which ended in a "massive argument".

"After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end", said Ronaldo in an official statement.

"We believed it would be best for both of us to take this step now. I wish Irina the greatest happiness."

Villalon wasn't on TV duty for Real Madrid during their away win against Getafe on Sunday and couldn't be reached for comment, according to the Express.
